State of Baden-Württemberg
To promote the economy of the state of Baden-Württemberg and the foreign trade of Baden-Württemberg companies, the state established its representative office for the Baden-Württemberg economy in San Francisco, California in April 2018.
The GACC West specifically supports companies from Baden-Württemberg in establishing and expanding business relationships. In addition to expert advice, its responsibilities include finding suitable U.S. partner companies and providing information on specific investment opportunities and projects. In addition to the representative office, the state has also established the position of an Innovation Scout in Silicon Valley and the program InnovationCamp BW.
The InnovationCamp BW has been created for companies and applied research organizations headquartered in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, to tap into the Silicon Valley ecosystem. During customized three-week programs, participants take a deep dive into the ecosystem and build out their network. The program is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of Baden-Württemberg.
